ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival- Arusha.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to Arusha Outpost Lodge. Settle into your accommodation, ready to start your safari journey proper in the morning.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After early breakfast, you will depart for a full day of game drive in Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch.This park has the largest concentration of elephants, often seen bathing in the Tarangire river, lots of giraffes, monkeys, impalas, and many birds. It is also one of the best places to see lions, leopards, and lions. In the late afternoon, you will continue to Karatu Doffa Campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch and drive to Ngorongro Crater for a game drive. Animals in the Ngorongoro crater include pride of lions, clans of hyenas, packs of jackals, crashes of hippos, dazzles of zebras, herds wildebeests, bulls of elephants often with incredibly long tusks because of the highly nutritious grass rich in minerals, and many more animals. It is also the best place to spot the rare black rhino. In the late afternoon, you will drive to Karatu Doffa Campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Manyara/Mtowambu.
After breakfast, you will drive to Mtowambu town on the floor of the Great rift valley, for a guided village tour. In this small but very busy town where people belonging to all 120 tribes in Tanzania live together, you will have the opportunity to see the typical daily life of Tanzanians. Your walking guide who comes from that area will take you to rice and banana plantations where you will interact with the people working in their farms, you will visit a traditional beer bar/factory, you will visit a school and carvings factory where the famous “Makonde” use ebony black wood to carve different statues. You will then continue to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch. In this small but very beautiful park with the dense forest, you will have the opportunity to see lots of monkeys, giraffes, elephants, impalas, dik-dik, flamingos in the lake, and if you are lucky you may spot the rare tree-climbing lions. Late afternoon you will drive back to Arusha for your departure.
